Experience McGregor – 16 – 19 June 2017

Winter is the season of snow (we hope, this year) and glorious sunrises and sunsets in McGregor.

This winter Slow Wine Weekend is designed around both robust and easy drinking red wines and hearty, warming meals.

Staying in cosy village accommodation, within easy walking distance of your dinner venue on Friday and/or Saturday evenings.  Transport will be provided on Saturday for activities outside McGregor Village.

Itinerary*

Arrive in McGregor on Friday afternoon and settle into your accommodation.

Then make your way to a local establishment to wind down from the week before a dinner and wine pairings from one or two local cellars.

Saturday breakfast at McGregor Country House will be followed by a cellar door tasting either in the village or just outside it.  This will be followed by a light lunch – also with a wine pairing.

After lunch, return to your accommodation and/or spend the afternoon exploring the village.

The day will conclude with dinner and a wine pairing at a local establishment.

After breakfast on Sunday, we will head out of the village for a final cellar door tasting.

The experience will conclude in Robertson at Wolfkloof Winery and the home of J C Kannemeyer’s white merlot.

Costs

Two nights’ accommodation, in local village establishments with all meals including food and wine pairings, wine tasting and transport:

R6450 per person sharing (single supplements apply)

  • Transport for activities outside the village.
  • Wine tasting fees
  • All meals** and 1 glass of wine per course for dinner and lunch

**Vegetarians and special dietary requirements accommodated within reason, on request.

Prices exclude:

  • Other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and/or wine purchases at the cellars you visit
  • Donations or services not specifically listed on your final itinerary
